The Origin
The Origin hails from San Diego, California, and was formed in the mid to late 80s by Gary Jules and Michael Andrews. Their music is reminiscent of The Church, Echo & The Bunnymen, and Crowded House, to name a few. Gary Jules left the band and Michael Andrews was left as songwriter and frontman for the band when they signed with Virgin Records which released their self-titled debut album in 1990.
Blancmange
"Blancmange" were formed in Harrow in 1979, by vocalist, Neil Arthur (born on 15 August 1958, in Darwen, Lancashire); and instrumentalist Stephen Luscombe (born on 29 October 1954, in Hillingdon, Middlesex). They released their first EP "Irene and Mavis" the following year, but had their first real exposure via a track on the seminal "Some Bizarre" compilation album, alongside fellow acts "Soft Cell" and "Depeche Mode". This led to them signing a deal with London Records.

Howard Jones
There are two persons with this name. 1. Howard Jones (born John Howard Jones on February 23, 1955) is an English singer and songwriter. He is the eldest of three boys. His birthplace is Southampton, England, and he spent his early years in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, and attended the Royal Grammar School. He now lives with his family in Maidenhead, England. When he was young, he used to give piano lessons. One of his clients was a girl named Jan Smith, who he later married. Whilst working with her, a vehicle crashed into their van, injuring Jan.
Heaven 17
Heaven 17 is a British synthpop band originating in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom formed in 1980. Taking their name from a fictional pop group mentioned in Anthony Burgess's novel A Clockwork Orange (where 'The Heaven Seventeen' are at number 4 in the charts with 'Inside' [1]), Heaven 17 formed when Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware split from their earlier group The Human League and formed production company British Electric Foundation (BEF). Shortly after, they recruited their good friend and photographer Glenn Gregory on vocals to complete their lineup for Heaven 17.
ABC
ABC is the present vehicle for Martin Fry, originally formed as a four-piece, and were one of the major players in the new wave movement of the early 1980s. They could perhaps also be credited with creating the short-lived pigeonhole of 'sophisti-pop' - smart suits, clever lyrics and elaborate synth-based melodies. ABC was formed in 1980 after Martin Fry, a music journalist, interviewed the band Vice Versa for his fanzine Modern Drugs.

- What
There are at least two artists with this name: 1. Pond is an Australian outfit led by two core members of Tame Impala. Pond is free spirited Psychedelic Garage-Glam of the highest order from some very young, very talented 'Perth-onalities'. It all presents an opportunity for the members to change instruments more freely live experiment with recording. Pond is a hard band to pin down, not that you'll want to.

Chromatics originally hailed from Seattle as a quartet featuring vocalist Adam Miller, drummer Hannah Blilie, guitarist Devin Welch, and bassist Michelle Nolan. That lineup debuted in 2002 with a Calvin Johnson-produced 7" on Gold Standard Laboratories -- a split with Die Monitr Batss -- and followed with the similarly GSL-issued Chrome Rats Vs Basement Ruts LP. While Chrome Rats was critically hailed, Chromatics couldn't keep it together, and Miller was soon the only member in good standing (Blilie, Welch, and Nolan went on to form the similar-sounding Shoplifting).

Mr Fogg
Mr Fogg is a UK-born alternative pop artist, who made his name touring countries including Iceland - where he recorded his debut album - Lithuania and Latvia. He also played Reading Festival, Iceland Airwaves, Truck Festival, Secret Garden Party in the past and has some exciting UK shows coming up in 2010.
